Goodwood appoints Performance Communications for annual motoring extravaganza

Multi-award winning automotive and sports specialist, Performance Communications, has been appointed by Goodwood to support this summer’s Moving Motor Show and Festival of Speed.

The agency will work alongside the Goodwood press office, client services team and marketing functions to assist with content and story generation, in addition to proactive engagement with attending Goodwood partners and the media alike.

Over 20 brands will open the premier motoring event on the UK calendar on Thursday 25 June. More than 200,000 visitors will attend the Moving Motor Show over the Festival of Speed weekend enjoying the chance to drive the latest models up the world famous hillclimb on the Thursday, as well as soaking up the adrenalin-fuelled atmosphere.

Three days of automotive and motorsport heaven will follow, as the Festival of Speed celebrates the very best of the past and present with its “Flat-out and Fearless: Racing on the Edge” theme for 2015.

This year’s Central Feature Marque for the Festival of Speed is Mazda.

Performance Communications director, Andy Francis, said: “Our role with Goodwood will play to our strength as story-tellers and will provide the vital glue between Goodwood and the manufacturers, ensuring that everyone is able to maximise the opportunities presented by an event that is now among the most important in the automotive calendar.”
