SAIC motor leaves footprints in Middle East sand

When the global head office of SAIC Motor, one of China’s largest automotive manufacturers, decided to make a big splash in the Middle East it turned to Performance Communications to help.

Other images 2 TINYPNGWith the big unveil of new models from both its MG and MAXUS brands taking place at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show, the region’s biggest automotive show, SAIC Motor enlisted the help of Performance Communications to build momentum around its arrival in the region. Ahead of the show the team distributed a number of press releases, pitched interviews and invited media to visit the SAIC stand on the day of the debut. By the time the show came round the team had ensured that the region’s media we very much aware of the Chinese brand’s arrival.

SAIC at DIMS Other Image 1 TINYPNGFeaturing eye-catching dance routines, a mini nail salon and interactive activities such as ‘spray paint your own vehicle’, SAIC certainly had no issue attracting people to its stand. In addition to securing and supporting interviews with leading motoring and trade magazines and daily newspapers, Performance also collated the press pack, helped to manage the launch press conference, and stepped in to save the day with a last minute requirement for a photographer.
