Caterham Cars unveiled the AeroSeven Concept at the SingTel Singapore Grand Prix – an exciting new performance concept car.
As the first model designed with significant input from all of the Caterham Group’s specialist business arms, it signals the brand’s intentions in terms of product engineering processes and hints at its styling direction for future models.
The AeroSeven Concept, which draws heavily on methods used by the F1 team, will be the first Caterham model to be fitted with traction and launch control functionality.
The car was unveiled by Tony Fernandes and the Caterham F1 Team drivers at the Pan Pacific Hotel in front of more than 80 journalists from across the world. The unveiling was followed by a roundtable media briefing event at which Mr Fernandes and other Caterham executives talked openly about their plans for the brand.
The AeroSeven Concept precedes the all-new sportscar being developed in conjunction with Renault and due for release in early 2016 but is stacked with race car-inspired features, including aerodynamic styling, a steering wheel with driver-focussed functionality, and a fully active Graphical Display Unit.
