What we’re looking for.

Working with a luxury pan-European automotive OEM we are looking for an AM who is confident in their project management and account management to run the day-to-day on this brand.

Suitable for someone seeking a new exciting challenge within the automotive sector or looking to take the next step on the career ladder, the role requires a strong ability to drive the day-to-day management of client activity and plans. The successful candidate will be the cornerstone of Performance’s activity with the OEM brand.

We require somebody who can ensure KPIs are achieved with the support of the Account Director (AD) and run 360 integrated campaigns/stunts for core activations. The successful candidate should be meticulous in adhering to processes to ensure the smooth running of the account, second to none project management skills while providing reliable budgets and contributing creatively.

The role will be based in Kingston-Upon-Thames with three days a week in the office and two days from home.

What you will be doing.

  • Act as the key point of contact at the Agency with aforementioned OEM client
  • Deliver core 360 projects/activations for the OEM, liaising with suppliers, other agency groups and ensuring the campaign delivers across multiple platforms for the brand
  • Client management: develop excellent client relationships and be the main ‘go-to’ person for the client(s)
  • Establish strong relationships with client teams as well as key personnel elsewhere inside the businesses. Ensuring direct access to key people who can provide data / information / opinion etc for relevant content is important
  • To take and write core briefs, delivering and managing the content produced
  • Dissect and understand the operations and business goals of the client to ensure the creation of effective stories and campaigns · Ensure a full and comprehensive understanding of the OEM brand, its values, personality, tone of voice, internal processes and in-depth knowledge of its current and future product range, market status, positioning and technical features & benefits
  • Lead creative input to OEM PR team (with support from AD and Agency team) for product and brand campaigns that deliver against OEM department and business objectives
  • Ensure the maintenance of reporting and status updates with the support of junior staff; this may include status reports, rolling release schedules, future features lists and deadlines, coverage reports and media distribution lists · Work with the AD and wider team to ensure quality control is adhered to where any content and written copy is concerned
  • Both draft and oversee team production of copy, press releases / kits, campaign and media materials; and drive the development of creative content or ideas
  • Plan, organise and prioritise workloads, including resource planning, flagging any issues to senior staff members
  • Research to provide market insights / gather information to support the creation of all forms of content
  • Lead and devise media distribution plans – a sound understanding and logical approach is key
  • Drive the implementation of current processes to optimise efficiency and take the initiative on improving processes where appropriate
  • Support the AD in thinking strategically about clients and the year ahead
