The Brief.
Following the new ownership of Breitling and the appointment of watch brand aficionado, Georges Kern, in the summer of 2017, Performance was tasked with re-launching the new brand direction and the new Navitimer 8 model to media and Breitling’s retailers from across the GCC.
Insight.
The event required a formal presentation to announce the future direction of the brand as well as afternoon of exciting activities to allow the new Breitling team to meet the media and retailers. The activities needed to reflect Breitling’s future venture into the realms of Land, Sea and Air as well as the sense of adventure that the brand has always been known for.
The Response.
Creative
Hosted at one of Dubai’s newest and most luxurious hotels, guests were immersed in Breitling’s remarkable heritage and ambitious future in a press conference hosted by Georges Kern. In an afternoon dedicated to Breitling’s three new worlds, guests were given the choice between a tandem sky dive over The Palm, an Excitor Flight above the city skyline or a luxurious yacht cruise around the Arabian Gulf.

Performance Communications worked with a broadcast partner to create a VNR which was distributed in English and Arabic across the GCC. The event was also supported by a press release and images from both the event and the new Navitimer 8 model.
Delivery
Across the two days, 25 retailers and over 40 media and influencers were introduced to the new Breitling. The brand achieved significant results across traditional and social media platforms, as well as TV interviews with Bloomberg TV and CNBC Arabia, and print interviews with Arabian Business and The Rake Middle East.
