Bentley Bentayga Mulliner Pearl of the Gulf edition

Performance Communications Author Image Performance Communications | أبريل 1, 2019

Last month, ‘Team Bentley’ brought to life a creative idea that has been almost a year in the making – the Bentley Bentayga Mulliner Pearl of the Gulf edition.

One of the rarest Bentleys to ever be built, and inspired by the Gulf region’s rich pearl diving heritage, just five models have been built especially for customers in the Middle East. It was originally a homegrown idea that originated in our Dubai office, and Bentley’s team of designers and craftsmen took the story and executed it in the way that only Bentley can – by creating five of the finest motor cars.

The ‘Pearl of the Gulf’ features a mother of pearl Breitling clock, an intricate wooden veneer and mother of pearl marquetry depicting a traditional dhow boat scene inlayed on the dashboard, and other luxurious touches such as thick lambs wool rugs and gold thread stitched quilting.

To celebrate the arrival of the first ‘1 of 5‘ models, Bentley hosted an exclusive cocktail party on the Palm Jumeirah, attended by over 60 media and VIP customers. The event was designed to be an immersive celebration of the region’s illustrious pearling history and included a ‘live’ pearling experience which involved guests selecting a live oyster from a tank which was opened by a traditional Emirati pearl farmer in front of them. Some of our lucky guests’ oysters actually contained a pearl – so they took home their very own ‘jewel of the Gulf’.
