The Brief.
Bell Textron is an American aerospace and defence company that produces commercial and military helicopters. Our brief was to further develop their brand image, ensuring Bell continues to be seen as a leader in their industry.
This required both showcasing positive stories in the media and also reducing the impact of negative press.
In particular, we set out to showcase the capabilities and mission-critical abilities of the Bell military fleet in hostile environments and active warzones.
The Response.
The team at Performance Comms ran a full annual PR and comms operation, showcasing the commercial and military aspects of Bell. This included press releases, features, interviews, and events across both Europe and MEA.
Furthermore, we put into operation a full diplomatic comms plan for Bell, showcasing their technology in new hostile environments.
The Results.
This strategy yielded some strong results:
- 271 pieces of media coverage were shared
- 10 press releases were published both commercial and military focused.
- 10 exclusive features were published, with a focus on the H-1 military fleet.
- Support was delivered across 11 industry events and 29 countries, contributing to global reach.
On top of this, the comms team implemented extensive media monitoring, damage limitation, and sentiment analysis across a range of incidents. This included the Hudson River crash, the death of the Iranian president, and the V-22 grounding.
The campaign was able to successfully position Bell Textron at the forefront of the commercial and military defence industry.
