PR Senior Account Manager wanted for UK office
PR ACCOUNT MANAGER / SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER VACANCY
If you are passionate about PR and comms, have an eye for a story and are looking for a new fulfilling challenge, then this could be the job for you. We’re looking for someone to join our team at the UK’s leading automotive communications agency and help shape the comms for a number of exciting household automotive brands.
The candidate must have a passion for writing. And ideally writing about cars. With an understanding of the automotive landscape and its emerging trends and what makes a news story. We are looking for someone experienced in managing clients so the ideal candidate will have worked in a PR agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering an ‘always-on’ approach to proactive creative news story and content generation
- To find and tell compelling and engaging product and consumer stories
- Copywriting for news releases, media briefings & messaging documents
- All aspects of the day-to-day account management, including the daily delivery of a plan and objectives, ensuring KPIs are achieved, budgets managed and client is updated as necessary
- Maintaining close relationships with client teams to provide support and counsel and fostering wider client relationships
- Conceiving, developing, producing and delivering PR campaigns that deliver agreed client objectives and messages on time and to budget
- Can work confidently on Powerpoint to create presentations that either help ‘sell’ an idea to a client or outline how a PR campaign would be delivered
- Briefing and managing third-party suppliers including film production companies, photographers and graphic designers
- Have experience working with influencers / understand the influencer landscape
- Media and influencer relations
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
- Excellent communication skills – both spoken and written
- Technical writing skills are essential, accompanied by the attention to detail of a sub editor
- Creativity – experience coming up with small news stories to big bang campaigns
- Excellent people and client management skills
- Able to work flexibly and think on their feet
- Ability to work to self-imposed deadlines
- Ability to build strong relationships both internally, externally and with media
- Time and task management
- A key understanding of the latest developments across the automotive industry
- Confident on PowerPoint
- Experience mentoring / line-managing juniors (preferable but not essential)
- Agency experience (preferable but not essential)
- Understanding of the relationship between PR and SEO (good to have but not essential)
