Peugeot – eBike
In order to maintain post-launch promotion of the Peugeot 5008, we focused on one of the quirkier options available – an electric bike which could be docked and charged inside the car.
Insight: More than a third of drivers worry about being able to park within a mile of their workplace. The problem is even worse in cities.
To highlight the fun aspect of the Peugeot ebike, a video was created to accompany a release featuring Peugeot rally ambassador Catie Munnings and a stunt bike rider.
To highlight the ‘last mile’ research, the video showed the pair ‘racing’ through London’s city centre, with the 5008 product as a focus and stunts carried out on the ebike to demonstrate its capability and robustness.
The release and video gave journalists another reason to talk about the 5008, thus maintaining momentum in the media for the core product.
A total of 53 stories were generated, while the city centre race video helped deliver 217k estimated views, 36.7m online readership and 216 shares on social channels.
