On April 1st, members of the public had the chance to experience the excitement of live entertainment inside the Olympic Stadium courtesy of Gold Challenge, the UK’s only Olympic and Paralympic based charity challenge.
The official test event in the Olympic Stadium featured a series of celebrity 100m sprints, relay races. Attendees included international rugby stars Austin Healey, Gareth Thomas and Mike Catt and a host of athletics including British high jumper Dalton Grant and Olympic Gold medallist Dame Mary Peters.
Talented 16 -year-old soul artist Dionne Bromfield headlined a list of British music acts.
Gold Challenge recruited Performance Communications to pre-promote the event and manage the media operation on the day. The team even had the opportunity to be among the first to run on the Olympic track, winning a 4x100m relay race in style!
