Fan Hub – July 2015

July 30, 2015
Performance Comms

Welcome to the inaugural Fan Hub newsletter from Performance Communications. Here we take a brief look at stories we’ve been fans of over the past month as well as a few things we’ve been doing. We hope you like it.

Flat-out and fearless

We kick off with a film we created for two of our clients – Maserati and Goodwood. Cyclist and Maserati ambassador David Millar took on the hillclimb at the Goodwood Moving Motor Show, and managed to break a record in the process.

The Rugby World Cup 2015 is almost here so we expect to see a lot of sponsor activity over the next few months. This advert from Coca-Cola caught our attention as it features both male and female professional rugby players.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup may be over but we particularly enjoyed the spoof documentary from Norway’s football team, highlighting the stereotypes they must face on a regular basis.

PRCA Dare Awards 2015

Please allow us a small moment of glory as we celebrate winning a ‘Digital and Social Strategy’ award at the PRCA Dare awards at the start of July for our Citroën #ParkingHero campaign. We’re delighted to see the team’s work recognised by the industry.

Volkswagen USA Unleash your Rrrr

The car manufacturer allows you to create an advert using your own sound-effects but the best part of this campaign is the King of Sound Effects, Michael Winslow (who appeared in Police Academy) features in the advert, doing what he does best.

BMX-er lands first quadruple back flip

Wow. Cycling in all forms continues to soar. Literally on this occasion as a BMX-er lands the first quadruple back flip.
